Holocaust & Genocides

I have been studying the Holocaust since first grade and will continue to learn more about the horrific brutalities that occurred to so many of the innocent victims. During the Holocaust of World War II, 11 million people were murdered by the Nazi party, 6 million of the 11 million people were the Jews.  I am exploring many different ideas, such as tolerance, respecting differences, culture/religion/faith, personal morality, good v. evil, and hope and happiness.  I do not want people to look at my work and think this is sad and horrifying, which it is, but to think how can genocides be prevented today?  My hope is to create an awareness to respect differences and to not discriminate whether is it for religion, race, sexual preference, disability, age, and gender so genocides can be prevented in the future.
